Our Year 10 Catering and Hospitality students visited Kenyon Hall Farm to pick strawberries.
We learned about the lifecycle of a strawberry and how they are grown. We also visited the other fruit fields looking at other fruits being grown and picked some Tayberries.
We are going to use the berries we picked in upcoming lessons, we discussed what the berries can be used in, and students researched recipes and have decided to make Strawberry Tart and Strawberry White Chocolate Cheesecake.
As usual our students were beautifully behaved and really engaged in the outdoor learning activity.
