This week, one of our Year 10 form groups took on the challenge to escape from a breakout room, they used teamwork and determination to solve all types of clues in under 60 minutes, racing to the door with just seconds to spare!
They put in to practice many skills including some of what we learn in school, completing maths and word problems as well as using logical thinking to navigate themselves around the room.
Our young people behaved fantastically and really god stuck in. What a fantastic experience for all!
In order to support our theme of personal development yellow form attended a Go Ape session at Rivington Pike. The thrill-seeking high rope course aims to push you out of your comfort zone – and it did exactly that. Our instructor gave an in-depth tutorial before starting, which required the students to listen carefully and communicate any questions where they felt necessary. The students had to work maturely both as a team and as individuals to ensure their safety whilst on the course. The course it self-took around 90 minutes and showed how incredible yellow form are. They had confidence, trust and support for one another. A fantastic afternoon all round.
